Trek hybrid or fitness bike?
I would like to get a bike for casual use as well as exercise and some long weekend rides – if all goes well ideally more than the weekends – I plan on staying on roads though can say if I’ll ever end up on a dirt road somewhere.
I like Trek – My question is if I should go for the hybrid (7100/7200) or one of the fitness (7.2FX) ? (There is a price difference, FX is more.)
Also I am female and can’t figure out if the WSP -women specific design- really makes a difference or not. (I’m 5’4″)

The 7.2 FX will be a nicer ride but depending on how much you plan to ride, the 7100 may work fine, for someone of your size i would recomend WSD. Women closer to 5’7″ or 5’8″ can get away with a regular frame pretty comfortably but you would be much more comfortable riding a WSD.
