Fitness Plan for Beginners & over 40 lbs to lose

Crossfit or Stronglifts 5×5?
Hey guys,
I’ve been training Muay Thai and am looking into getting fitter and stronger, i’ve been lifting weights (compound movements) to increase strength. Now i want to up the ante and go for it!
What program would be best for me, should i start Stronglifts 5×5 or Crossfit?
I’ve been lifting consistently for nine months and form is very good etc so im not a complete beginner and don’t fancy starting with an empty bar like the Stronglifts program suggests but whcih program should i go for?
Advice appreciated.
Thanks in advance!
I would suggest crossfit, when I started it I noticed a significant increase in both my strength and cardio within the first month. The workouts are pretty intense and force you to push your self as hard as you can. Crossfit is a great program for any martial artist, and I highly recommend it to anyone. If you don’t have access to a Crossfit gym, or the equipment for the workouts posted online, P90X is just as good and is designed such that you can do it in your living room.
